Info

”Mein Kampf” is a true, comprehensive and straightforward documentary about the rise and subsequent downfall of Hitler and the third reich. The film was the first of its kind that was shown widely in Germany after the end of WW2. It tells the story of how one man came to threaten the world with his frightening ideas and his fearsomely powerful army. His motto was “One people, one führer, one nation, Germany”. People under Hitler’s rule were used as puppets, mere tools to reach his final goal of worldwide domination. All footage is authentic and exhibit the gruesome and monstrous reign that tortured Europe for over half a decade, a time which trot out the worst in many people and left only torn apart nations, families and 60 million deaths. We want to forget, but as Resnais says, we must never forget what happened. As long as we remember the horrific and inhumane crimes we won’t let it happen again.
