Alex, a failed realtor, lives a life in the shadow of the debts he put on himself during the happy days of the 21st century. When the economy collapsed he was stuck with a house he couldn’t afford and a wife he enviously scorned because she was doing what he always had dreamt of doing – being a police officer. He sees life as an endless struggle against all that he opposes, like grammatical mistakes, slow senior citizens, ignorant baristas and people with bad taste in music. He is constantly peevish and impatient and takes it out on everyone around him including his young daughter. One day, as he hurries off to a meeting with a potential buyer of the deadweight realty, he collides with another car. He wakes up in a white room and slowly and unwillingly realizes that he is in Death’s waiting room. But God and his world doesn’t look like one would guess, instead of something peaceful it is a game show where he gets a chance to play for his life. It’s a game that, if he looses, takes him straight to hell.
