Info

This romantic comedy was a big hit when it opened in its home market with a larger number of prints than the previous record holder TITANIC.

THE WOMAN OF MY LIFE is spun around the charming, but self-centered immigration lawyer and hypocondriac Jacob Stang. He’s in his mid-thirties and has as his goal never to be tied down by a woman or – God forbid – a family. At a party Jacob meets a beautiful and bright doctor, Nina, and suddenly his life is turned upside-down. Nina suggest Jacob help put her recently inherited family home on the market. An assignment Jacob happily accepts, but in reality he is more interested in selling himself to Nina than selling her mansion to a potential new owner.

Nina ends up falling in love with Jacob and everything seems to be working out until Nina’s former boyfriend and Jacob’s former girlfriend enter the picture. This creates a chain of misunderstandings involving Nina’s loony aunt, Jacob’s close circle of friends including the blind, but clear sighted John and not least Jacob’s former Spanish girlfriend’s family. They take over his appartment and refurbish it in the belief that they are about to get a son-in-law.
