Tobias is a newly ordained minister who wants to make the world a better place to live in. With energy and goodwill, he takes over a poor parish in the worn, concrete suburbs, but discovers that his middle class upbringing has left him ill equipped for the harsh realities he finds there.

Just as Tobias´s new duties are beginning to take their toll, and he begins to regret that he did not become a psychologist as his parents wished, he meets a streetwise, one-of-a-kind young woman called Carola. Tobias is in love and terrified, and for the first time in his life he feels truly alive. And yet – how cansomething that feels so right still be so wrong? A romantic comedy about accepting love no matter in which form it presents itself.

“I think that the film´s main character, Tobias, is like most of us. He is a nice guy who wants to do good and thinks that he is a tolerant, unprejudiced person – someone who believes that all people are created equal. But when actually put to the test, Tobias finds his high ideals suddenly challenged. He tries to tell himself that he is being wise and realistic, but the truth of the matter is that he is being cowardly. Only when it is almost too late to make amends, does he realize that he is about to make the biggest mistake of his life.

MIFFO is about discovering your role in life and class differences, but more than anything else, it is a story about love. About daring to choose love even when you know that there are no guarantees. Hopefully the film has turned out more or less like life: absurd, sorrowful, and pretty wonderful.”
