Fia thinks everyone is a clown, except herself, her mother... and Bustric. Eight-year-old Fia is very good at climbing, stealing and looking after her mother. But one day her world changes. The Police come visiting and the Child Care people decide that Fia has to move to foster parents Nanna and Siggen and that she must start going to school. Luckily, Fia has a friend – her neighbour Bustric, a clown and magician, who she hopes can help her with his magic to put her world back together again. He teaches her that the first rule of magic is that anything is possible if you truly believe in it yourself. Fia’s goal is that she’s only going to be away from her mom for three months, and she will under no circumstances start liking those clowns of some foster parents, or her teacher by the way! If it’s difficult to have one mother, having two is like an earthquake. But the magic does not always work as planned…
